Downtown Coaches Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, independently organized to support Michigan State University and to serve as the official booster club of the MSU Spartan Football Program.

 

In 2026, the Downtown Coaches Club is proudly celebrating its 80th year, marking eight decades of unwavering support for Michigan State Football. Founded in 1946 by a passionate group of local football fans, the club has grown into a vibrant community united by Spartan pride and tradition. Guided by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, the Downtown Coaches Club remains committed to its mission of bringing together fans from across the MSU community while supporting the Spartan Football program. Open and welcoming to all who share a love for Spartan Football, the club continues to foster connection, enthusiasm, and a lasting legacy as it enters its next chapter.

Downtown Coaches Club organizes events and activities throughout the year, but especially during football season. Our most prominent activity is hosting dinner programs to bring fans together, engage with Spartan Football program representatives, and prepare for game day through entertainment with fellow members of Spartan Nation.
